There are mentions of domestic violence resulting in the homicide of a mother and child with resulting murder-suicide (extremely brief mention), graphic on-page depiction of a failed round of IVF (prologue), survivors of domestic violence, parental abandonment (not of or by the MCs), postpartum depression (not of the FMC), anxiety, imposter syndrome, infertility, mentions of a voluntary abortion (not of the FMC), judgment from family members, and mention of past suicidal ideation (not by the MCs), as well as explicit language.
